10 Things the Apostolic Woman Should Not Fear

May 16, 2016

What can separate us from the love of God?

Not a single thing on Earth.

God repeats over and over throughout his words that He will never leave us, He is with us always, He will not forsake us.

Perhaps the trouble is that we don’t understand His perfect love. We are scarred from the mishaps of life and cannot grasp His eternal love. Loved ones in our lives have left, some friends have become distant memories, and people you expected to always count on were not there when it mattered most. People that promised you the always and the nevers have severed an impact that reverberates through your mind subconsciously. You love with restraint, careful to keep far from the ledge for fear of the height and depth of love, and what it would mean to lose that again. But God’s love, is so perfect, and runs deeper than what we can ever fathom.

For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
{Romans 8:38-39, KJV}

10 Things An Apostolic Woman Should Not Fear:

  1. Death – O death where is your victory? Humans around the globe will admit that they are afraid of dying. Not because of the pain that could be involved, but because it is an unknown. They don’t know what happens next. They may be forgotten. But when you live for Jesus intentionally, dispersing His light through your life every day, there is no room for fear because you know that He is with you, and what lies on the other side is a life with Him forever.
  2. Life – One of the biggest fears in life is the fear of messing up. We must learn to live a life of intentionality that defies those fears and the “what ifs”. Every life has the opportunity to build a relationship with God based on the time and dedication we give him to work through and in us. Each individual carries a longing in their soul, seeking Jesus. It is up to us, the chosen few who already know God’s truth to spread the gospel and invest in another’s life. When we share God’s word with others we are feeding the malnourished and withered souls of the hungry. Some out of pride may feebly swat your hand away, but inside they are longing for the crumbs.
  3. Angels – Angels cannot separate us from the love of God. That includes the devil and his demons. Their greatest desire may be to trick us into thinking that God no longer cares about our problems or what goes on in our lives, but that couldn’t be further from the truth!
  4. Principalities – any armed forces coming against you cannot separate Jesus from you!
  5. Powers – Today’s topsy-turvy elections, power shifts, and governments cannot do a single thing to get between you and God. They can pass a number of laws, and statutes that may make things more difficult for religions, but at the end of the day the Holy Ghost is an experience that nothing can take away. Jesus is still by your side and residing in your heart.
  6. Things Present – Difficulties that seem insurmountable at the moment will be a faded memory for you in a few years. Don’t fear the storms, just stand strong through it all, and you shall come out as gold.
  7. Things to come – Fear of the unknown is something we all deal with at some point or another! Knowing that Jesus is near should give us the courage to pursue our big dreams and take some great leaps of faith. There will be many things to come, but with Jesus by my side, I can endure it all.
  8. Height – Naturally I think most people will say they fear heights, but usually I think it is not so much the height, but the fear of any tiny possibility of falling! That can apply to us atop a mountain, or even spiritually! We must not fear going higher and reaching for more of God, we should strive to do so!
  9. Depth – The deep waters where great things may lurk beneath the surface. When we cannot see we are flustered and rile things up way out of proportion. With Jesus, we must learn to lean on him when we cannot see beneath the surface and when we are unsure of what may come. Jesus walked on water, and I have no doubt he can help us out of any deep situation we may find ourselves in.
  10. Any other creature – Be it human, animal, or spirits, we have no need to fear that they will ever be able to separate us from the love of God.

At times we feel most unlovable, He loves us. When all is roiling against us and the current is pulling strong, His arms are reaching for us. Even when we feel broken inside like nothing can lift us, He yearns to mend us. The love of Jesus is such that it can forgive the worst of sins; it wants to wipe us clean and pure, to make us new again!
