Happy Thanksgiving Eve, Darlings!
I’ve been in the kitchen with my mother the past several hours preparing our Thanksgiving dinner — sweet potato casserole (from scratch!), green bean casserole (I learned how to make home-made cream of mushroom soup today), and stuffing that will be baked in a bundt pan tomorrow (so lovely!). It’s been a busy busy busy full day, as I’m sure it has been for you, too.
To be totally honest with you, I was planning on featuring a wedding today…but with it being Thanksgiving, I decided to wait a few more weeks! But while you’re up late this evening prepping for tomorrow, I thought it might be fun to take our minds off the to-do list, cooking, table-setting, guest list, and cleaning for just a few minutes to take a look at a few inspiring images … for a few last-minute Thanksgiving Holiday ideas!
This outfit. Girls, it speaks Thanksgiving! I’m a pretty basic girl: I almost always wear all-black on regular work days because it, well, works. It’s comfy, it’s classic, it feels great even on those 13-hour days. But this perfectly fall-inspired outfit would be great for tomorrow. Pair your favorite midi skirt with a blouse and layer on a cozy, oversized sweater and top it off with a scarf. Add some warm tights and booties and you’ll be ready for a Day of Thanks! (I might even step out of my chronic black dress wearing to try something like this… I’ll let you know how it goes )
Remember how I said my mom and I were prepping our stuffing tomorrow and baking it in a bundt pan? Ok, so I saw this gorgeous image on Pinterest several weeks ago and just knew that we had to try this clever and lovely way to serve our stuffing on Thanksgiving! If you haven’t already baked your stuffing, why not try this innovative idea? Prepare and bake your stuffing as you usually would — just use a pretty pan instead of a regular casserole dish! I think we’re going to serve ours with cranberry sauce in the middle… mmmm yummy!
Finally, if you’re super into the last-minute details, why not use these adorable (and free!) printables for tomorrow? There’s everything from a welcome banner, menus, name tags, and thank you labels. These gorgeous printables are hostesses dream!
