These things have been all the rage lately! I joked that this past Christmas was the year of the Candle Warmer Lamp because my grandmother gave all us grand girls one for Christmas, and I gave one to my aunt and my husband’s aunt as well. But seriously, they do make great gifts! And if a lady in your life doesn’t own one already, this could be the perfect choice. These warmers allow you to burn a candle in your house without the worry of an open flame, the lamp light lends your room a cozy ambiance--and of course, it’s just pretty too!
2. Capri Blue “Volcano” Candle (AKA The Anthropologie Candle)
If the person you’re shopping for already has a candle warmer lamp, or if you don’t think they would want one, what about gifting a candle instead? This is a classic gift that just about anyone loves. And for a special occasion like Mother’s Day, it could be a good time splurge on a special candle. If you’re a fan of the store Anthropologie, you may be familiar with what is considered by many to be their “signature” candle: the “Volcano” candle by Capri Blue. Though this is not a scent Anthropologie created, it is sold and often burned in their stores, hence why it is associated with this particular brand. It is my favorite candle of all time!!! It has a lovely citrusy scent and always comes in a beautiful jar. The problem is it also comes with a pretty high price tag for a candle; the medium size jar is usually $38... Because of that, I only ever buy it when it's on sale. HOWEVER… more recently I have discovered numerous “dupes” of this candle that you can buy for a fraction of the cost! The easiest one of these to find is the “Red Lava Citrus” candle from Better Homes & Gardens (sold at Walmart). It seriously smells just like the original!
3. The Kate Spade collection at Target
Speaking of budget-friendly versions of “luxurious” items… Did you know that Kate Spade recently released an exclusive line at Target? Kate Spade is my favorite handbag designer ever, so the prospect of being able to get Kate Spade items for a fraction of the usual cost was so exciting to me! They have some adorable basket purses, a handful of modest dresses, skirts, and tops, plus other fun things like hair accessories, home decor, and even cookies! Everything is selling very quickly, though, so if you want to purchase something, you’ll want to jump on it ASAP!

Need another book idea? I also highly recommend The Mothers & Daughters of the Bible Speak by Shannon Bream. My mom gifted me a copy of this a couple years ago, and I enjoyed it so much! It dives deep into the relationships between mothers and daughters/mothers and sons (both by blood and by marriage) in the Bible, like Ruth and Naomi, or Mary and Jesus, for instance. It makes a perfect read for Mother’s Day weekend!
