A Classic Valentine’s Outfit

It’s the time of year where Cupid gets to happily strike others with the “love bug” in giving heart-shaped chocolates, bouquet of red roses, sentimental cards, and sweet candies that say, “Will You Be Mine?”

Yes, Valentines Day — when everyone gets to indulge in yummy chocolates, chocolate-covered strawberries, and wear as much red and pink as they wish. Of course, it also means that we ladies will potentially stress about having the perfect Valentine’s Day outfit and our rooms turn into a total disaster during the process.

I love wearing outfits with darling red and pink hearts — it’s just too fun not to adore! However, you don’t always have to go all out and wear an outfit covered in hearts. Simple, classic outfits are appropriate for Valentine’s Day; a timeless look never goes out of style.

When it comes to dressing up for Valentine’s Day, you can never go wrong wearing red and black.  I believe every lady should at least have one classic red or black dress that would go for any special occasion. Since it’s still winter, this dashing white winter jacket added the finishing touch to the outfit and extra flair.

Choosing an A-line skirt, as shown here, would be the perfect choice for Valentine’s Day. The high-wasited skirt is very flattering in the way it accents the waist and flares out in a fashionable full circle skirt. The exquisitely designed red, black, and gray floral print is perfect for Valentine’s Day festivities.  I found this darling skirt at The Limited.

To give the ensemble a classic touch, I paired my skirt with a simple black blouse. The embellishments around the neckline brings an elegant, stylish appeal to the outfit.  When you have a classic skirt such as this, you don’t necessarily have to add a whole lot to the outfit.  All you would need to enhance your attire is a few small details to bring a classic look of completion.
