A Festive Home | Decorating for Christmas

December 09, 2015

It’s that time of year when the houses and trees are covered in lights and the night shines bright with the spirit of Christmas and I absolutely love it!

Last year I shared several unique ways to make your home holiday ready. It’s always fun to see new ways decorate for the Christmas season, so I have gathered more of my favorite outdoor Christmas decorations to add to your arsenal of ideas.

I love how natural this arrangement is. It’s extremely simple yet very elegant and true to the season.  Read the full tutorial over on JulieBlanner.com where Julie shows step by step how she created this porch arrangement.

How gorgeous are these DIY over sized ornaments?! You won’t believe how easy these are and they can be made around $10 each. I love the white lights used to illuminate them, but it would be so pretty with red, green or blue as well. See the full tutorial from Beth over at Home Stories A to Z

Once the temperature drops below freezing you can line your porch or walkway with these beautiful ice lanterns. These are a wonderful project to employ the help of the kids and they’ll love seeing the final project lit up outside. Create these using just tin cans, rocks and cranberries. This rustic Joy sign is adorable! And keeping in tune with the rest, it’s very simple to make. Just a wood board, coat hanger, wreath and two big letters J and Y to complete it. I’m loving how the sign is styled along with a sled and ice skates, so fun. Get the tutorial at Fynes Designs.

I hope you feel inspired to make your home festive this year! Share your outdoor decoration ideas, Christmas lights and love with us in the comments below and on instagram @ShesIntentional and #ShesIntentional.
