A Letter to the Intentional Woman in 2020

February 19, 2020 · by Kimberly Pearson

Dear Intentional Woman,

Our world today can sometimes be a very discouraging and dark place. Women are told all sorts of lies via the powerful channels of social media, marketing campaigns, and societal norms. You are often told that you are not rich enough, thin enough, pretty enough -- or simply just not enoughYou must need more.

I am here to tell you that the opposite is true.

Be encouraged, dear reader, for you were created by a perfect God who makes no mistakes and wants you to bloom to your maximum potential in today's world.

“…And who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”
--
Esther 4:14 (KJV)

You are brilliant. Wonderfully made with the moonbeams in your cheeks. The sun dances in your smile, and the world can only notice His bright light shine in you.

You are strong. Effervescently fierce, and you carry your loads like the wind does a sail. The Lord is with you and for you, and with that knowledge you face your trials head-on, knowing you will win.

You are intelligent. Wit sparks your eye, and your sharp mind captures the unnoticed.

You are abnormal. Normalcy shouldn't be an aim, because you are far beyond that. You thrive in your uniqueness and embrace everything that makes you you.

You are beauty. For beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and you have a beautiful eye. You notice the beauty wherever you go, no matter the path, circumstance, or situation.

You are going places. This old life can't hold you down, because you know you are destined to go farther than your wildest dreams. You know that God’s will in your life supersedes what we may consider to be great. You also dream of a heavenly home that you’ve yet to see and have only dreamed about. Oh, how sweet heaven will be! You know life is not always easy, but the reward is -- and you are willing to work hard to get there.

You are more than enough. You are loved beyond comprehension by the only One that matters. Jesus bled and died so that you could grow and thrive. All your struggles, issues, and flaws added up and rolled together still don't come close to making you worth any less.

You are worth it all.
