Bethany and Chase's Lovely Wedding

January 31, 2022 ยท by Andrea Long

We're so excited to have Bethany McGuire joining us on the blog today to share her beautiful wedding.

Bethany, thank you for agreeing to share this fairytale day with us! How would you describe your wedding decor or theme?

I have always been drawn to a more classic and timeless look and really wanted to be able to look at my wedding photos years from now and have them not look terribly outdated. I also have a love for pink! So, of course, that had to be included! :) Along with lots of fresh flowers, which I have always loved!

What are some of your favorite memories of your wedding day?

So, my wedding was supposed to be outdoors. We had chairs, tent, etc. rented. We were planning on having the ceremony at the location where my husband proposed to me. Then, the week of my wedding, we had severe thunderstorms and heavy rainfall! At the last minute all of our wedding plans had to change! Thankfully, I have a wonderful church family who all pulled together and helped us set up the new location indoors at our church. They went above and beyond to make my day extra special!

How wonderful that it all came together! Were there any funny moments or things that didn't go according to plan?

So, I have this tendency to be late. Unfortunately, my wedding day was no exception! Thankfully, I didn't realize this until the bridesmaids and I had loaded up to head to the ceremony. According to my sister, it wouldn't have been my wedding without me being late!

Do you have any advice for future brides?

God's timing is always perfect! Coming from someone older - hang in there! Me and my sister used to hear stories of brothers marrying sisters and thought that was so neat but never thought that would happen for us! She was interested in my husband's younger brother and at the time I had NO interest in my husband-to-be. :) Until one day I surrendered it all to God. I told God I wanted to marry who He had for me and that He knew what I needed more than I did. Slowly, I developed an interest and realized I obviously had had a change of heart! Within just a few months God made my and my sister's dreams come true when we married brothers just 4 months apart! It was worth the wait!
