A few weeks ago, my friends, Boston and Haley Young, had their US wedding reception at the Crocker Art Museum in downtown Sacramento. It was a beautiful, memorable, and unique time.
I mean… the wedding reception took place at an art museum. Come on…how cool is that?! It was absolutely gorgeous! It was a black tie event, and I was pretty happy that I got to play dress up that night!
I wore my sleek black turtleneck with a vintage black rabbit fur shawl, paired with my black tulle skirt and black Christian Louboutin “So Kate” Pumps. It’s not every night that I get to dress up so fancy!
The architecture at the museum is AMAZING…seriously. If you ever visit Sacramento and enjoy looking at art and beauty, take yourself by the Crocker Art Museum. The architecture feels very European, and it’s absolutely breathtaking!
After looking at the architecture, I made my way to look at the art. There are many different rooms that have different styles of art. Some rooms showcased handmade art, while others showed ceramics. However, my favorite art room was the ‘American Art Before 1945’ Exhibit. The room is just full of absolute beauty everywhere you look! Some of these painting were created in the 1800s!
I wish that I had been able to get more pictures of the gorgeous architecture in the museum, but it was dimly lit for the most part. Maybe next time though! Overall, it was a night full of impeccable style and beautiful art.
I can’t wait until the next event that allows me to play “fancy” dress up and be an art connoisseur!
