Cozy Fashion For Cold Weather

November 23, 2016

November:

The time of year when cocooning yourself in a thick blanket in front of a blazing fire with cuppa and novel in hand is in the top 5, at least, of your priorities.

Sadly, there are days when the “fireside cocoon” is more of a bucket-list item that a priority, and so one has to make due with warm clothing-or better yet, a knit cowl-neck (basically, a wearable blanket).

This cropped, cowl-neck sweater from the Loft is a last-year purchase that is still one of my favorites, but HERE is one that is similar in coziness and more affordable. The sweater pairs perfectly with any high-waisted skirt because of its cropped fit; however, I chose a gray tulle skirt by Elle which is also a last-year purchase, but ASOS has a wealth of tulle skirt options right now.

To finish off the outfit with a black tights (a winter staple), heeled combat boots by Steve Madden, and a navy and black, color-blocked bag by Michael Kors.

So, the next time you leave the warmth of the fire to encounter the cold, grab your favorite knit-sweater and let its transportable coziness envelop you.
