I have to be honest with you: I am not one that goes all out and decorates my house for each season or holiday. I definitely would if I felt like I had the time, but with a 3-year-old and a 5-month-old most days I’m lucky to eat lunch let alone redecorate my house every month or two. For now, if I can at least get a wreath on my door I’m happy.
Everywhere you look these days there are festive pumpkin and Thanksgiving decorations.
I didn’t want a wreath with our initial or a plain one. I wasn’t quite sure what I wanted. While on a grocery trip to Walmart I stumbled upon all the materials for a cute wreath, then I saw a small chalk board that would fit perfectly inside. So a chalkboard wreath was born!
DIY Chalkboard Wreath
What You’ll Need:
-
Branch Wreath
3 Flowers ( or more, have fun with it!)
Small Chalk Board
Glue Gun
It took all of 5 minutes and turned out really cute! Simply hot glue the chalkboard to the wreath, then pop the flowers off their stems and glue them to the wreath as well.
Done! What’s so fun about this wreath is that I can write anything I like on the chalkboard and I’m not stuck. It’s an easy way to “redecorate” for a busy mom like me.
I chose to hang mine on our front door, but it would be cute used inside too.
