Fall Fashion: The Pencil Skirt Edition

November 16, 2020 ยท by Andrea Long

I was largely pregnant (and I mean large) with my first son when I wailed to my husband, "I'm never going to look cute again!"

While I now laugh at myself, I truly felt that way during pregnancy and those first few months of motherhood when nothing in my current wardrobe seemed to fit.

It was during this time that I researched quality pieces that I would always enjoy wearing regardless of the season, my age, or my postpartum status.

One of my favorite pieces is a great pencil skirt.

It's hard to beat a skirt that can be dressed up or down, worn with tights and boots in the winter, with heels or sandals in the summer, with a cropped jacket, or a long sweater...the possibilities are endless!

I have long been a lover of the Dainty Jewell's Original Pencil Skirt. The fit is perfect (modest but not too baggy), and these skirts are great quality! I have had most of mine for many years. I love the midi length, stretchy material, back zipper, and comfortable waistband. The fact that these skirts do not cling unmentionable areas makes me want one in every color!

Here are a few ways to style these modest pencil skirts for fall/winter.

A navy pencil skirt with a cream sweater is a classic workwear option. Pair it with nude heels and purse or boots and a trench coat for a simple but elegant look.

I'm loving the chunky sweater and skirt fad this season! The "It's Floral Time" pencil skirt transitions well into fall/winter with an oversized sweater or cardigan.

Grab your briefcase and walk into that meeting like a pro with this striped pencil skirt, turtleneck, and blazer. Or grab a denim jacket and ankle boots instead for a coffee date.

There are so many ways to style the pencil skirt. Let us know how you style yours! Leave me a comment on social media @daintyjewellsblog.
