Flare and Fancy Outfit

June 13, 2014

When I saw the A Night it Paris dress I fell in love. I was very tempted to order it and hope that it would fit, regardless of my difference in top and bottom size. But then the Flare and Fancy outfit was released and I squealed in joy at my computer screen!

The ode to vintage lace, the trumpet style skirt, and the simple fact that I could actually order the sizes I needed had me head over heels in love with this outfit before I even received it. I patiently impatiently waited and the day I received the dress I tore into the package before I even made it back to my house from the mailbox.

Instantly, I knew the navy would contrast beautifully with my favorite shoes.

About a year ago one of my closest friends got married and her gift to each bridesmaid was a pair of custom shoes. I held them close to my cheek and promised to love and cherish them. I’ve worn these darlings to several formal events and they are still just as beautiful as the day I first laid eyes on them.

Of course, my friends, my outfit would not be complete without a frugal element!

While I loved the simplicity of the navy sash that comes with the dress, I wanted to tie my silver shoes in somehow. I found this tan vintage belt at a local thrift store for $1. It’s perfect because it adjusts by pulling the ends and they lay hidden underneath.

I’m in love with the Flare and Fancy skirt and top. I’m sure the quality of both pieces will exceed your expectations as it did mine. The lightweight lining keeps the outfit soft and comfortable. A huge plus for anyone chasing around a toddler, like myself! I also love how the lace lays and makes the outfit appear to be a dress.

I really can’t say enough good things about the Fit and Flare outfit, an original Dainty Jewell’s design. I’m probably going to order it in the blush color soon because I love the outfit that much. I don’t have a belt or shoes that would match though, so it looks like another thrifting trip is in order!
