God’s Hands and Feet

April 15, 2026 · by Hillary Wheeler

I’ve been thinking a lot about how many times over the years I’ve let nudges from God get clouded over by my own doubts or lack of preparation. There have been many times where I felt to do something for someone and I let the opportunity pass, only to find out that it really was a timely nudge from God and my action would’ve been a help. I have found that it can be easy to have intentions and share with others a list of the things I want to do or the person I want to be, but acting on those things takes much effort, discipline, and strong desire. I’m learning that the talking and sharing of intentions truly mean nothing without action.

The fruits of intentions of the inner heart are only harvested through intentional actions of our outward body.

A recent prayer of mine has been for God to give me His strength so that my hands and feet will be more active than my lips. I want to DO more than I SAY and to not question His nudges, but let them propel me into doing the work of loving others the way He loves. Life is so busy, but God is so good and He will multiply our efforts and our time when it’s given back to Him in service to Him and His kingdom!

1 John 3:18 (KJV): "My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth."
