Hello, wonderful ladies!
I am so excited to be bringing you another hair tutorial! I recently decided to give my hair a break from heat. I filmed this tutorial a few weeks ago because I have been traveling so much–so I did have the roots of my hair crimped. However, I have done this hairstyle before and since then completely heatless and have been able to achieve a very similar look (pictured below).
I love offering heat-less hair inspiration!
Here are the supplies I used to create this look. Just click the highlighted/underlined area to shop : )
I’ve probably said it 100x and I’ll keep saying it: using a pick or a wide-tooth comb is the best way to detangle to avoid hair loss. I have a 6-year-old pick from Walmart that has been very faithful. Sally’s sells a similar one, which I have linked above.
This is my favorite everyday hairspray. It’s less harsh on my hair and it works very well considering it’s a Spritz spray.
Curling Iron (optional)
I know this is a heatless style, but I wanted to include this anyway since I only used it to curl the hair framing my face.
Curling the wisps around your face isn’t a necessary step, and I don’t always do that. I just like how it dresses up the look a little bit. If you’re looking for a cheap curling iron, this is a good one for the price.
I love using a thin headband as a hair elastic. It holds well and doesn’t seem to create quite as much tension, but holds so much better than a small hair elastic.
I really love these bobby pins for the price. They have tiny grips on the inside for a better hold. They make updos much easier!
As you may notice here, I am the queen of flyaway hairs. I used very little hairspray for these two styles, but if you want to avoid flyaway hairs, spray your hair before and during styling, then spray again at the end. Use a chiffon smoothing scarf to tame stray hairs.
(completely heat-less version)
I hope this helps and inspires you to try more heatless hairstyles for everyday use! If you have any questions, please comment and let me know.
Until next time,
Hugs and blessings to you all —
Hannah
