There is a beautiful song, "When God Unfolds the Rose", that has touched many hearts and been used in many weddings over the years. It’s about how God's timing is perfect and how, when the time is right, everything in our lives will unfold for our good. Time can feel as though it is moving slowly when we are anticipating certain events in our lives, and, at times, it feels like the days are slipping like sand through our fingers. Most of the time, the waiting seasons of life test our patience, but God has promised that waiting on Him is always worth it. There have been people I have watched walk through hard seasons, but as God did His work, I watched them bloom in the midst of or on the other side of it all. I’ve watched young ladies stay faithful to God, and, in time, I watched them bloom into all that God purposed for them to be for His kingdom. It is a beautiful and fulfilling thing to walk with God and allow Him to protect and nurture us until it is our time to bloom. Trust God with all of your heart and in due season your time will come to bloom.
