Pink + Lace + Frills + Femininity + Class = Jillian’s July wedding.
Today we are so excited to be sharing Jillian and Bradley’s wedding. This darling couple just got married — in July! — and we absolutely love every.single.thing about their beautiful day.
Jillian said that the vibe she wanted for her wedding was elegance, and we think she did a wonderful job of creating that!
The most important aspect of my day for me was (of course!) my dress. At first I actually had no idea what style I wanted. I just knew it had to be lace and have an enormous train. I fell in love with my dress the moment I put it on. It had everything I wanted: lace, the buttons down the back, the long train and then we added the cathedral-length veil which completed the vintage romance look that I wanted.
The over-all theme of the wedding showed a lot of the type of girl I am. I’m obsessed with the vintage type look, so the decorations were fancy and girly. There were bird cages, lace and flowers everywhere. The wedding also showed Brad’s love for music. He wasn’t very interested in planning the wedding — as most guys aren’t — but he wanted to pick the songs. We had some amazing music and singers in our wedding, and at the end he surprised me with a song on the piano that he wrote himself!”
Of course, one of our favorite aspects of the wedding are the gorgeous bridesmaids dresses! Jillian chose Dainty Jewell’s Night in Paris Dress in blush, and then added their own custom sashes. Oh-so romantic!
My favorite moment from the wedding was when I got up on the platform and looked at Brad: he had the biggest smile on his face like I’ve never seen before. Then the way he grabbed my hand and squeezed it gave me a feeling of pure love and I knew that there would never be anyone else on this earth I would rather be sharing that moment with.
A funny detail about our bouquets: I had real flowers, which were beautiful, but they kept falling out onto the floor during the ceremony. By the time we left the platform, flowers from my and the bridesmaids bouquets were in pieces all over the carpet!
My advice to any bride would be not to stress about anything. At the end of the day you’ll be married and no matter what minor thing happens you will be with your best friend and true love. It’s one day out of lifetime.
