Let’s Make Art – A Review
January 01, 2019
One of things I look forward to most during the holidays is spending quality time with family.
We all head to my parents for about a week and play games, play in the snow, cook, eat . . . It’s all so fun!
I try to keep an eye out for new things to do when everyone is home, like The Exit Game, an escape room in a box, that I was introduced to at a recent girls night out. (Which is also worth checking out if you enjoy solving riddles and breaking codes!)
While scrolling through Facebook a few weeks before Christmas, I came across an ad for Let’s Make Art, a watercolor paint kit and subscription box website. I clicked through to see what it was all about, and I’m so glad I did!
Let’s Make Art allows you to order kits for different watercolor projects. The kit includes paper, a step-by-step guide, and the specific paint colors you’ll need to create each design. After you get your kit, you can paint along with Sarah as she walks you through step by step in a tutorial video. She does a great job explaining what to do and she has a cute personality that shines through on each video.
Now, I’ve never been to one of those group painting parties, but it’s always sounded like something fun! With Let’s Make Art, I realized the family could do it from home during the holidays, so I promptly found this cute pink pineapple design and ordered enough kits for all the girls.
We loved this so much that we ended up doing a project each evening after the babies were all in bed! It was such a relaxing way to end the day. We did the December Florals design and the Sunset Mountain.
Watercolor is a great art medium for experienced artists and beginners alike! It’s fun and easy to use, and everyone’s paintings turned out adorable.
If you’re looking for something new to try in the New Year or have thought about hosting a girls painting night, you should definitely check out Let’s Make Art. It would also make a great date night project if you’re looking for new ways to spend time with the special someone.
If you love it and decide to make watercolor painting a more permanent part of your life, you can subscribe to the monthly Let’s Make Art box and get 4 design kits each month.
