My Top 5 Fall Must-Haves for the Season

October 03, 2018

Fall is undoubtedly my favorite season of the year — with winter following in at a close second. I love the crisp, cool air, the changing of the leaves, hayrides, hot cocoa, all of the pumpkin and spice things, and lastly, the fall color palette and dressing for the season. Since the fall season is upon us, I will be sharing some of my favorite fall things for this year.

  1. Chunky Knit Cardigan

Since fall is a transitioning season, you can dress in layers. It makes it so fun to be able to throw a chunky knit cardigan over a tee or button-down top. It allows you to be warm and cozy, but if needed, you can take off top layer.

  1. Mock Neck Sweater

I love a good sweater for the cooler months. I love a mock neck sweater even better! A mock neck is exactly what it sounds like—a fake turtleneck. These sweaters are great for feeling cozy and warm without the restricting turtleneck aspect. AND it looks just as chic!

  1. Over The Knee Boots

Most people that dress modestly may think that OTK boots can only be worn with short dresses and skirts. However, that’s not the case. I purchased my first pair last year and absolutely love them! I wore them SO much more than I thought I would. They look so good with sweater dresses and high-waisted skirts.

  1. Leopard Mules

I have been on the hunt for a great pair of leopard slides. I found a great pair at Nordstrom that can easily be worn as casual or a dressier casual look. Leopard is great because it acts like a neutral. Its perfect for fall weather, but it’s also great because it can be worn all year long! If you don’t like the mule trend, there are still LOTS of great options for a leopard-print shoe.

  1. Soft Cozy Blanket

This isn’t a fashion find, but it’s a perfect home item. It makes a great gift too! Nordstrom sells these blankets that are SO extremely soft and cozy. They are perfect for cool weather. These blankets come it all kinds of colors. If you don’t want this particular blanket, Home Goods, TJ Maxx, Target, and lots of other home stores sell some great blankets and throws that are perfect for complementing your home. Plus, who doesn’t love to cozy up in a chair with a soft blanket and warm cup of coffee (or tea) on a chilly morning?

These are my top five favorite things for fall. The list goes on, but these will have to do for now! I hope everyone has the best fall season! What are some of YOUR favorite things about this season? Let me know in the comments!
