Neutral Holiday Glam

December 09, 2014

If your hair is done properly and you have on good shoes, you can get away with anything. – Iris Appel

One of the best things about the holiday season is all the fun reasons to dress up! Holiday parties, church Christmas Banquets, Theatre outings to the Nutcracker Ballet, The Christmas Carol and, my personal favorite, It’s a Wonderful Life. Maybe you have a beautiful version of Handel’s “Messiah” performed in your area? (It’s a must-see at least once in your life!)

Whatever your holiday traditions are, it’s easy to spruce up the neutrals in your closet with a touch of holiday glam.

One of my favorites is adding some texture to an outfit to really make it pop! Here my sister and I used a thrifted mink stole ($39.00) with a brown pencil skirt, chiffon blouse and other creme accents. Easy breezy right?

The key to holiday glam is making sure your accessories match, your textures aren’t too crazy — oh! and making sure your hair is just spot-on for the look you’re trying to pull off.

Don’t be afraid to have some fun this season — just remember that we dress to please the King and I believe that when we are well-put together and doing our best to let His light shine from the inside out, He is most pleased with us!
