New Year's Goals: Vision Boards for Teenage Girls
December 30, 2024 ยท by Charity Walter
Happy New Year, everyone! What a wonderful time we have had in 2024; I can't wait to see what 2025 will bring!
As many of you know, my husband serves as the youth pastor for our local church. Last year, I did a fun activity with our youth girls to prep for the coming year. We created vision and goal boards for the girls to keep throughout the year. This activity is great for ladies of all ages, but is especially great for teenage girls.
What you'll need...
- Scrapbook paper of various prints for the "board"
- Construction paper of various colors
- Scissors (regular and wavy)
- Tape (get some fancy colored tape for added cuteness)
- Markers
- Glue or tape to adhere notes to the "board"
- Small scraps of paper or fabric for texture
- Printed quotes (you can create these ahead of time by finding a quote you like and printing a whole page for each girl to take one)
What you'll do...
Instruct the girls to choose a large piece of scrapbook paper in whatever print they like. This will serve as the base or "board". Next, they can decorate the scrapbook paper with little quotes (pre-made or can write their own), scriptures, pick-me-ups, etc. The goal is to create a board that will encourage and be a strength to the girl throughout the year. If they choose, they can leave a large blank spot to write out their goals or New Year's resolutions later. Encourage them to be creative and create a board that they will enjoy using throughout the year.
Looking back...
Next year, gather the girls together again to talk about what goals they met throughout the year, how a scripture or quote encouraged them, how they have grown, and to create new vision boards. This is such a fun activity to complete yearly!
