Romantic and Classic Wedding: The Yzaguirres

July 30, 2025 · by Andrea Long

Classy and timeless weddings have our heart! Here at Dainty Jewells, we love seeing how each bride is unique and brings her own special style to her wedding day. When we first saw Jené and Micah's gorgeous wedding photos, we were blown away at the stunning decor, glamorous wedding dress, and classy feel of their special day. We are honored to be able to feature this lovely bride and wedding! Welcome, Jené!

DJ: How would you describe your wedding decor, theme, or vibe?

JY: Our wedding was classic, timeless, and romantic. Every detail was beautifully executed with balance, design and symmetry. The decor had a Greek feel with columns, arches and domes. Flowing fabric draped the tables, the platform, the vestibule and even came swooping across the ceiling. I felt elegant walking into that sanctuary on my father’s arm to a custom song that was written especially for Micah and me. It was pure perfection.

DJ: What are some of your favorite or special memories of your wedding day?

JY: My favorite memory of the day was when our siblings sang “The Blessing” — even in Spanish — and we broke out in prayer during our wedding ceremony. In all of our planning, Micah and I both agreed that the only essential element for us was that we wanted every guest to feel the presence of the Lord in a mighty and powerful way. A family friend, who is a pastor’s wife, had travelled many miles to be there and later she posted this, “I was able to go to one of my lifelong friend’s daughter wedding in Las Vegas today. I have never been to a wedding where the power of God fell so strongly. The anointing on this marriage was tangible. Beautiful wedding.” That’s what really made it our dream wedding—a move of God!

DJ: Were there any funny moments or things that didn't go according to plan?

JY: Right before the ceremony, I felt faint, but the cake servers brought me a big container of our wedding cake to help me refuel just in time to walk in. Also my dad and Micah’s dad, who are both ministers, officiated our ceremony. They have so much fun when they get together. They kept us laughing through the entire rehearsal.

DJ: How did you find the perfect wedding dress?

JY: My wedding dress was designed by me and custom-made. My goal was for it to be modest yet extravagant, timeless yet unique, structured yet romantic, and comfortable yet classy. After several design confabs and fittings, my seamstress understood exactly what my vision was and she absolutely nailed it. My dress had a poufy base dress with billowing sleeves and a gathered peasant-style drop-seam for frame-complementing, floating comfort. Then I designed a dramatic cape. Slipping it on added a second layer of features like a five foot train, standing half bows at my clavicles on each side, an extra sleeve pouf and delicate Chantilly lace appliqués. The cape was created to elevate the studied simple symmetrical design of the dress with over-the-top, wow-factor design elements. Sensational and structured is my aesthetic.

DJ: Do you have any advice for future brides?

JY: Enjoy your day together—things might not go exactly as planned, and that’s okay! Have fun and take it all in because it goes by so fast. Love the people who are there. Be in the moment; cry and laugh with those who highly value and celebrate you and your man. Savor your moments together with your family and friends - many whom you will be meeting for the first time. They are the greatest treasures in the world.

DJ: Is there anything else in particular that you'd like to share about your wedding or your love story?

JY: We’ve seen nothing but God’s goodness and faithfulness in our relationship and now in our marriage. Weddings are sacred and important to God. We should take time to invite Him to be there. I believe the day I got saved and the day I got married were the two most important days of my life because they are the two most important decisions a person will ever make. I’m so grateful we made prayer a priority in our lives and in our wedding ceremony, giving God all the glory and honor He deserves. Keep Him at the center of your marriage for a stronger, happier, and healthier future together.
