SI: How would you describe your wedding decor, theme, or vibe?
CF: I would describe my wedding theme as romantic, timeless, and intentional. I had always dreamed of planning a wedding since I was a little girl. We were married at an inn that was elegant and charming. The horse stables were such a lovely touch. I always had my heart set on the dreamy pink florals and a timeless dress with soft tulle. The ceremony was held outside in a courtyard area. We had a string trio playing that really set the mood. I was very specific even with the small details, making it as personal to us as I possibly could.
SI: What are some of your favorite or special memories of your wedding day?
CF: It was a beautiful September evening. It was 75 degrees with a slight breeze. I truly believe weddings are a sacred unification of man and woman. I wanted my ceremony to be spirit-filled. One of the most special moments was having our parents and grandparents lay hands and pray over us for blessings on our life and marriage during our ceremony. We have a long heritage of Pentecostal believers, so we saw it fitting for us.
SI: Were there any funny moments or things that didn't go according to plan?
CF: To be completely honest, everything went so, so smooth for us on our wedding day. I am so thankful and blessed for that.
I will say as a 2020 bride there were so many questionable moments in the year leading up to our wedding day. We really weren’t sure what the outcome would be in September. Just one county over they were still limiting gatherings and requiring masks. I had already booked the venue and photographer before the shut down, so everything just fell right into place.
SI: How did you find the perfect wedding dress?
CF: I worked in a bridal shop during college, so I was able to try on so many different styles before I was even engaged. I had tried on the Hayley Paige - Hayley dress in our boutique, and I instantly fell in love with it. It already had long sleeves and a back. The only alterations was just to have it fully lined. Hayley Paige was a very big bridal designer in that time. We actually traveled out of state to find the dress at a discounted price. I wanted to have a beautiful and modest dress, but I didn’t want to break the bank. In the end, the tulle A-line skirt and the exquisite embroidered bodice was the winner for me.
SI: Do you have any advice for future brides?
CF: Be as organized as you can! I was my own wedding planner, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I am a very organized person, so I had Excel spreadsheets and binders of what needed to happen on the day of. To my surprise, everything went so smoothly, and I truly believe it was because I had everything thought through beforehand. We were able to just enjoy the day and have a great time relaxing before the ceremony.
Brides, enjoy it all and soak every little detail in because it will go by faster than you think!!

Blake and Nicole are the most professional team. They understood exactly what I wanted, and they made it happen.
Nicole is also the sweetest. I will never forget she let me borrow her eyelash curler to freshen up before the reception.
