Have you been dreaming about a wedding in the winter season? Not only is it possible, but it is absolutely charming! My beautiful sister-in-law, Sarah, tied the knot with her prince, Stephen Readout, 15 years ago on January 7th, 2006. Happy anniversary, you two! Let's take a peek into how their winter wedding mirrored a fairytale.
Sarah's dress was an elegant mix of layers and lace, with pearl and sparkle accents. It had a traditional flair but clean lines, as it fit her like a glove. Speaking of, Sarah chose to wear feminine gloves that really made her look like the modern-day princess she truly is. It added such a vintage touch! Sarah also wore a delicate leaf tiara that sat among gorgeous curls. So lovely.
Each bridesmaid was clothed in a rich navy blue, which stood out perfectly for a winter wedding. The tie around the waist was clipped with a silver bow circle pin. A crafter at heart, Sarah's eye for design helped her create faux floral bouquets for the entire bridal party to hold, including her own luscious bouquet! They were a lovely mix of blues and greens. She proved that you can still have classy wedding staples in an affordable way.
The diamond ring Stephen presented Sarah was a marquise solitaire with tapered baguette side stone accents. Every inch of their wedding had their love story woven throughout. Touches of luxurious textures added more romance to the day.
Groomsmen matched the rich blue from the bridesmaid's dresses (fun-fact: the groomsman pictured here is Sarah's younger brother Jonathan, who is now my husband!). Sonia, the maid-of-honor and sister of the bride, wore a stunning pale green dress. This blended well with the bouquets Sarah made. The little girls also wore the same pale green, as they paved the way for the bride.
Seeing all the fine details come together on the big day makes me feel like I'm watching a real-life Cinderella story! The love that is present on their faces is a treasure.
Pops of color and fun delightful florals decorated the hall for the lively reception following the ceremony. Guests celebrated with the happy couple in an intimate setting, blowing bubbles in joy as they end the day. Sarah and Stephen's winter wedding captured the essence of timeless beauty with originality and grace.
