The Sweetest Day: The Copeland's Wedding

January 30, 2025 · by Andrea Long

Weddings are such special times, and we love to feature weddings that have a sweet touch. Today is no different. Autumn and Lyndon's timeless wedding is one for the books! You'll love everything about this Mississippi venue, classic decor, and her stunning dress. Welcome, Autumn, and thank you for sharing your special day with us!

SI: How would you describe your wedding theme or vibe?

AC: I would describe our wedding as timeless and classy, but above all, it was the sweetest day of my life. Having all the people I love in one place to celebrate us was truly special. It took place on the front porch of a beautiful white home in Natchez, MS, and it was everything I could have ever dreamed of.

SI: What are some of your favorite/special memories of your wedding day?

AC: One of my favorite moments was standing at the end of the aisle with my dad. We’ve always had such a special bond, and it was incredibly heartwarming to share that moment with him. Another memory I’ll always cherish is the tradition at our venue, where every bride carves her new initials into the original glass pane from the house, which is still in the front right window. I was able to do this with everyone watching, and it’s a sweet memory I will never forget.

SI: How did you find the perfect wedding dress?

AC: I found my dress at Low’s Bridal in Arkansas. I had already discovered the dress online before going to the store and immediately fell in love with it, although I wasn’t sure if they would have my size. When I arrived and saw the dress in person, I fell even more in love with it. They only had one left, and it was my perfect size! I had the neckline completely reworked by a seamstress, and it turned out even more beautiful than I imagined. It will always be my absolute favorite dress in the world. Every bride deserves that feeling on her wedding day.

SI: Do you have any advice for future brides?

AC: My advice for any bride may sound cliché, but it’s the truest thing I can say: enjoy every second of it. The day goes by so quickly, and you’ll spend the rest of your life looking back on it, wishing you could relive it. So, truly be in the moment and make each moment special. It’s your day to be celebrated with all your favorite people, so love every second of it.

SI: Is there anything else in particular that you'd like to share about your wedding or your love story?

AC: My husband and I grew up across the road from each other and lived close our entire lives. Our love was the kind you don’t expect until it’s right in front of you. We grew up together and never viewed each other as anything more than friends—until one day, it became so much more. It will always be my favorite love story, and I love to share it as proof that love can find you in the most unexpected places and times if you’re patient.
