It’s that time of year:
colorful leaves start to fall, the air is crisp, and a promise of everything wonderful and festive is just around the corner. Anything involving soup, pumpkin, candles, and coziness sounds amazing. It really is the most wonderful time of the year, isn’t it?!
This piece, the perfect-for-fall Highlands Dress, has become one of my favorite semi-dressy outfits. First of all, it’s no-layering-required, and secondly, it pairs nicely with this trench coat I got several seasons ago at Anthropologie, one of my favorite stores.
The dress itself isn’t made of super-warm fabric, which I love, because that makes it so jacket-friendly –great for if you’ll be spending time both outside and in the warm indoors.
I love trench coats during this season because they’re so classic and basically go with everything! For this photoshoot, my hairstyle is a simple ballet bun. When the outfit has a lot going on, I think it’s usually best to keep your hair simple. My shoes are from Cato’s (is there anything better than a great buy on cute shoes?), and I feel like they were just made for this outfit!
