It’s been busy, busy, busy these past few months for my family and me. We suffered the loss of our grandfather in June and have been dealing with that–and it just seems like life has gotten extra busy and stressful for me the last few months! Nevertheless, I’ve done a little retail therapy and selected my top three favorite summer items.
Number one (in no particular order) on the list is a flatform sandal. There are all kinds of price points for this style of sandal, but I found some really cute ones at Target. I love the color, low platform heel, and the espadrille accents on these shoes. Other places that carry this style at other price points are Nordstrom, Nordstrom Rack, and DSW.
My second item on the list that I’ve grown to love for the summer is a midi leopard skirt. This is a piece that is a “capsule” piece for a wardrobe. You can easily dress this skirt up for church or dressier function, or dress it down with some cute sneakers, flats, or sandals. I have found so many different styles of a leopard midi skirt that I really love–like a silk slip style skirt, and then a pleated, more full style skirt. I’m also on the picky side of the print…not all leopard print is made equal. Here are two examples of my favorites. I actually own this pleated version from Target. I can’t wait to transition this skirt into fall and winter!
My third and final item that is a favorite for this summer is a good pair of dupe brand name pair of sunnies. Two of my favorites that I have come across are these Chloe dupe tortoise shell sunglasses (they come in a variety of colors). The original Chloe sunglasses sell for $400, whereas these almost identical–IF NOT identical–sunglasses on Amazon are $11! The second pair is the YSL dupe sunglasses. These YSL styled sunnies are $10 vs. $475! Both pairs are quality feeling sunglasses too. Both can be found on Amazon.
I hope you enjoyed my favorite summer finds and that you’re having a phenomenal summer! Please share some of your favorite items or trends for summer in the comments.
