Vacation Style

September 03, 2025 ยท by Andrea Long

Vacation outfits but make them modest!

I recently went on a little weekend getaway with my husband, and I wanted to pack comfortable but chic dresses for our vacation. I always gravitate to dresses that are stylish on their own - not a lot of layering or accessorizing needed. These three dresses made the cut and were perfect for shopping, eating out, and exploring, all while keeping me covered and looking trendy!

The Neutral Knit Midi

Ok, I'm in love with this one! My family travels a lot, and this cozy knit dress is great for travel days when I still want to look put together. The button front and chic collar offer a dressier look to a simple dress, making it perfect to dress up or down. I styled the Simply Sophisticated dress with sneakers and a crossbody bag for vacation, but I will definitely be wearing it this fall with flats or ankle boots and a sweater over the shoulders.

Modest Little White Dress

This white lace dress is so stunning in person; the lace details are so dainty and feminine! What I love about this dress is I can dress it up with heels for church or down with flats for a shopping day (which is what I did for my trip). The fabric is thick enough to take into the autumn season as well (forget the "no white after Labor Day" rule!). Simply style the Darling Dahlia dress with a cardigan over the shoulders and pair with some cute flats.

The Perfect Denim Dress

This dress is that staple piece that works wonderfully for any season! Seriously have this dress on repeat right now! The long sleeves and A-line silhouette are flattering for every day, work, errands, lunch dates, and more. I styled with flats and a handbag this summer but plan to wear the Essential Denim dress with tights, ankle boots, and a sweater this fall and winter.

There you have it: 3 essential dresses to take on your next vacation! Be sure to check out my styling reel on Instagram!
