Wedding Feature: Jason & Michaela Cadd

March 03, 2021 · by Brittany Douglas

Today we're excited to feature the beautiful wedding of Michaela Cadd! Join in as we talk about her wedding and share images from her big day.

----------

Michaela, thank you for allowing us to share some details from your special day on our blog! For starters, how would you describe your wedding decor and theme?

I got married right outside of my hometown in Wallace, North Carolina, at River Landing Country Club. My wedding decorations were pampas grass, old vintage wood crates, and vases with floating candles. I would describe the atmosphere as a relaxed, intimate, bohemian setting.

What are some of your favorite memories or details from your special day?

Some of my favorite memories from my wedding would be the first looks with my parents, bridesmaids, and my flower girls. The looks on their faces and the tears of joy and excitement for me were priceless.

During the planning process of your actual wedding day, were there any funny moments or times things didn’t go as planned?

The funniest moments had to come from our photo sessions with the bridal party. And really, the only thing that didn’t go as planned was my hair: I changed hairstyles in the middle of our photo sessions.

How did you find the perfect wedding dress?

I found my dress while I was on Pinterest one day through the website wearyourlovexo.com. I know that is not the most traditional way of finding a dress, but it was the perfect dress for me!

Is there any advice you would like to share with future brides out there?

A bride's wedding day flashes by. It’s so important to take in every moment while you're in it--just breathing and going at your own pace. So enjoy it while you’re able to!

Is there anything else you’d like to share about your wedding or love story?

My wedding was truly the best day of my life! A special moment at the wedding that is also exclusive to our love story was sharing a Coke with my husband, our wedding party, and our guests for the first time in THREE YEARS. I absolutely love Coke, so I made a commitment to God (three years prior to my wedding day) to fast Coke until He brought me my husband.

Thank you so much for your time! Before we go, we’d love to know who your photographer was.

My photographers were Brett Grubbs and Jeremiah Oxendine out of Lumberton, North Carolina.
