Last weekend, I had the privilege of attending my cousin’s beautiful wedding. The wedding took place at a stunning white Southern plantation-style home. She had asked me to sing a song during the ceremony; therefore, I wanted to match the color scheme, which was eggplant and silver. I asked if she preferred me to wear an eggplant or silver dress, and she went with eggplant. I had no idea where I was going to find an eggplant dress that I liked, and I especially didn’t know where to find a modest one. My search through Google began.
I first looked at Dainty Jewell’s website of course, because they really do have such an amazing selection of elegant dresses, but I couldn’t find one that was the the specific color she wanted. I searched the internet for a while before finding this eggplant evening dress on gcgme.com. If you are looking for a modest evening dress, I would highly recommend looking there, as well as ASOS!
This dress is definitely up there on my list of the most comfortable dresses that I own. It doesn’t wrinkle easy at all which is a major plus, and surprisingly, I love this color. I have never been that big of a fan of purple, but lately, I have really been into it. The website also carries this dress black, navy, blue, taupe, teal, and slate grey. Also, this dress hits at the smallest part of the waist, which would make it flattering on any body type.
Just to make the dress a little bit more formal, I added this silver embellished belt from Anthropologie. I thought it was the perfect addition to an already perfect dress.
I found my beautiful Vince heels in a Nordstrom Rack while I was in in Los Angeles a few months ago. I knew I had to have them the moment I tried them on. My silver clutch is Tory Burch and is pretty old, but here is one that is similar.
I hope you all have enjoyed this post! If any of you have any other recommendations for online stores that carry modest dresses, I would love to hear about them in the comments below! I hope you all have a fantastic day!
