Though most New Year’s festivities have passed, I thought I would recognize this first weekend of January with a little glitz and glitter. New Year’s Eve and January 1st are traditionally greeted with splashes of gold, black, and silver, and I have found a plethora of weddings incorporating that very theme!
Rather than focusing on a specific palette, however, I decided to home in on shimmery, glittery weddings as a whole. New Year’s Eve is a semi-popular date for nuptials, but if you love the sparkly wedding concept, you can borrow inspiration from New Year’s anytime of the year.
For starters, make your goodies memorable with some glitter and shine –either the edibles themselves, or their wrappers and stands:

Doesn’t it all look too perfect to eat? (And can you believe those glitter macarons?!)
If you are indeed partial to sparkle, showing a little creativity with your decor is an obvious option:

And if you are big on dramatic flair, consider an unforgettable getaway!

You may like the idea of sparklers at your wedding (they make awesome photo props), but want something lower key than a sizzling send-off: here are some sparkler photo tips and ideas.
Of course, wedding apparel — yours or your bridal party’s — is always a great place to showcase the shimmer, as well…
