When You Think You Can’t Make It…

May 14, 2016

We have all been through a trial at some point in our life.

We may be still in the trial or going through a completely new one. It seems like there is no light at the end of the tunnel. We may think, “How in the world is this going to work out?” But it does work out — because God is on our side.

One thing that is tried and true is that GOD WILL NEVER LEAVE US.

You never really know how strong you are or can be until you have to go through a trial. This is the whole reason God allows us to go through dark times. God knows what we can and can’t handle. He walks us through these times, all while holding our hand, so that we become a stronger person. Sometimes it even seems like the trial gets worse before it ever starts to get better. That’s when we really learn to lean on God.

From experience, I can say that I am a stronger person because of what I had to face when my son Finley was in the hospital. I was newly married, a new mom, and was scared to death that I was going to lose my two-month-old baby boy. Never have I felt so helpless in my life as I did in that time. I learned to lean and trust God 100% that He was going to help me out of this. And of course, He did!

I distinctly remember waking up one morning in the hospital and feeling a complete peace over the situation. I felt in my spirit that God was telling me everything was going to be ok. And it was! Finley is a completely healthy sixteen-month-old toddler who is full of life and has NO setbacks!

Because of what I went through, it made me a stronger person. It also gave me the knowledge to be able to help someone else that was facing what I went through. It gave me a testimony of God’s never failing love, power, and grace. And because of what God has brought me through, I will share it with the world.

So Darling, when you think you can’t make it, you can — because Jesus is holding your hand.
