Annabeth Walden
Athens, Georgia"Modesty is not a burden to me, it’s not a heap of chains wrapped around my knees and shoulders. To me, it offers a certain level of beauty that showing skin will never get you."
I am a Dental Assistant, pastor’s daughter, Sunday school teacher, and I’m heavily involved in music and youth/hyphen ministry in our church (Restoration Apostolic Church).
My father is my pastor, my older brother is my youth pastor, my mother is my music minister, and I just fill in the blanks as needed! My great grandmother described being in a pastor’s family like so: “It might not be roses all the way, but it’s roses all along the way”.
I love our church!
I love road trips and I’m always down for an adventure! Finding new places and traveling have to be my favorite things to do.
I’ve become a very big fan of interior design here recently! It’s a new hobby that I can’t seem to get enough of!
Good food, good coffee, and good company calls for a great, ideal day for me.
How would you describe your personal style?
My personal style is a little all over the place... For example, I can go from 80’s retro in the morning, to a sophisticated lawyer by the night. I love vintage looks, minimal style, and timeless, classy pieces. Don’t be surprised if I’m in cozy sweaters one day and a full leather outfit the next. My style definitely depends on my mood!
What is one thing your closet can’t do without?
Something in my closet I can’t live without is definitely my tan trench coat. I LOVE THAT THING. It adds so much class and elegance to any outfit.
Why is modesty important to you?
Modesty is not a burden to me, it’s not a heap of chains wrapped around my knees and shoulders. To me, it offers a certain level of beauty that showing skin will never get you. To me, modesty shows respect for yourself and, quite frankly, respect for others. To me, modesty is beautiful.
