I really like good food.
It’s not uncommon for me to spend a long time in the kitchen preparing and cooking a dinner for my family because I find it soothing and satisfying when food tastes great.
But I slack on lunch and breakfast. Breakfast is my biggest downfall, I want a hearty breakfast but I don’t have the motivation to make it.
I recently heard about overnight oats and my curiosity forced me to find out more about this breakfast. Overnight oats are prepared before I go to bed and as soon as I wake up they are waiting for me to eat! I get to have breakfast that’s ready to go and tastes awesome.
These oats are thick, cold and soft. They’re like a creamy pudding full of flavor and texture. I first tried and peanut butter and banana flavor and then searched Pinterest for new flavors. There are a huge variety of recipes and it’s awesome having so many different flavors for breakfast all ready to go!
Here are a few I found online that look absolutely wonderful:
I have tried these Almond Joy Overnight Oats from Rabbit Food For My Bunny Teeth and they are wonderful!
This Blueberry Banana recipe from A Pumpkin and a Princess is a great way to start your day full of fruit!
I haven’t tried this French Toast Overnight Oats recipe from Fit Foodie Finds yet but it’s on my list, because that sounds like the perfect breakfast for me!
Tastes Better from Scratch’s recipe for Cinnamon Apple Overnight Oats tastes like a bowl of creamy applesauce, you have to try to get why that’s so good!
And finally, this Peanut Butter Banana recipe from Five Heart Home is what got me on the Overnight Oats bandwagon. You have to try it!
