Today I’m sharing a delicious iced tea recipe that is perfect for all of my health-conscious friends out there who also appreciate a little caffeine boost.
This tea is made with all-natural ingredients, is low in sugar, is loaded in antioxidants, and is seriously one of the easiest things to make! As a matter of fact, all you need are two peaches, a few sprigs of fresh mint, about 5 individual bags of Earl Grey tea, some cane sugar, 1 liter of water, and a pitcher. I personally like to use a clear pitcher for this beverage because it’s such a pretty drink.
First, slice the two peaches, and then place them to the bottom of your pitcher along with 2-4 tablespoons of cane sugar (or honey). I usually take a wooden mixing spoon and squish the peaches a bit until there’s a bed of juice under them.
Next, add about 1 liter of cold water, several fresh mint leaves, and your 5 Earl Grey tea bags to the pitcher. Cover the tea and place it in the fridge to brew overnight. This brewing method is optional but is much more flavorful, in my opinion. If you are pressed for time, you can simply brew the tea the traditional way, in boiling water.
Once, the tea has brewed in the fridge for at least 6 hours, it can be enjoyed over a cup of ice.
