Okay, here's the thing. I don't know anyone who doesn't love fried chicken, especially chicken wings. Over the years I've tried to find a recipe that would provide a crispy outer crunch but keep the meat juicy inside. This one is it! The ingredients and the process are simple. Yet the flavor is anything but! Here's how you can make this at home.
Ingredients:
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- ⅓ cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons ground paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder or garlic salt
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 10-12 chicken thawed wings
Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Line a baking sheet with foil and place small dots of butter (not melted) on the foil. Set aside.
In a medium bowl, combine the dry ingredients (flour, paprika, garlic powder, salt and pepper).
One at a time, coat the wings on both sides in the mixture and place on the baking sheet, evenly spaced. The dots of butter can be underneath the wings or in between.
Bake the wings for 30 minutes, flipping them, and continue baking for 15 minutes or until cooked and crispy. Serve with warm buffalo sauce on the side or baste it before eating. You can also dip the wings in creamy blue cheese dressing paired with chopped veggies.
