Freezer Meal Planning

November 03, 2015

Since having my first child three years ago and entering the world of sleep deprivation, I have learned of the wonder that is freezer meals. If you’re looking for a way to actually “sleep when the baby sleeps” as they say or just a way to save time and money then freezer meals are for you.

Finding freezer meals is a breeze thanks to Pinterest. In fact, I have pinned more freezer meals than I can probably make in my lifetime. With proper planning (get some cute meal planner printables from my past post here) I’m usually able to buy and prepare 16-20 meals in one day and in one grocery store trip. No joke! I either go to Aldi, who has incredible prices, organic and MSG free foods, or whichever grocery store is having buy one get one specials. I pick 8-10 meals and double them to get my 16-20 meals and with that many options you won’t be eating the same thing every other day.

I’ll share with you my favorite sites for freezer meals. This will save you a ton of time.

Chicken dump recipes. So easy and so good! The Choas and the Clutter offers a ton of freezer meal recipes and even gluten-free meals for those with allergies or sensitivities.

Having meals stocked up in my freezer has saved me from so much stress and when they’re crock pot meals they practically cook themselves. Yay! Not to mention that by having multiples of each meal I can even prepare a large meal for a group of friends or family with no extra effort. Once you start meal planning and preparing freeze ahead meals, you just can’t go back. I certainly won’t!

I’m always pinning new recipes and freezer meal resources. Follow me on Pinterest @arfrymier!
