Go Green

July 21, 2015

We’ve all heard about the green juice. In fact, it is probable that many of you are avid juicers. I’ve only recently gotten into it, and I’ll admit–before I started making them myself, they did not appeal to me at all. The color of the juice can be a turn off at first, but I found that it can actually be quite tasty, despite the bright hue of green. Drinking juice is a easy way to consume your daily dose of fruits and veggies. Some of the health benefits include increased energy, immunity, and weight loss. I was skeptical at first, but soon noticed that I did indeed feel my energy increasing.

I have a favorite juice recipe to share with you all today. I especially love to drink juice in the summer. After all, what could be more refreshing on a hot day then a tall glass of juice made from fresh fruits and veggies? Yum! Without further ado, here is the recipe!

  • 1 English cucumber, peeled
  • 1 Meyer lemon, peeled
  • 1 bunch of celery
  • 2 Gala apples, chopped
  • 1 inch of ginger root
  • 8 Lacinato kale leaves
  • 1-2 Romaine hearts

Directions? Simply process through your juicer! I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

I’d love to here about your experiences or opinions on juicing? Do you like it? What are some good recipes? Please share in the comment section!
