Kid-Friendly Valentine’s Day Pizzas

February 03, 2021 · by Brittany Douglas

With two small boys in the home, I am always looking for fun, seasonal activities to do with them, as well as new traditions to put in place. These Valentine’s Day pizzas were a huge hit with my three-year-old, who not only enjoyed making them but eating them, too! Double win!

You will need:

  • Personal-sized pizza crust
  • Marinara sauce
  • Mozzarella cheese
  • Pepperoni slices
  • Olive oil
  • Oregano
  • Heart-shaped cookie cutter or kitchen shears

Directions:

Preheat your oven to 400 degrees.

While the oven is heating, cut your pizza crusts into heart shapes (kitchen shears work great for this). After the crusts are cut, spray or brush on some olive oil and then add a layer of pizza sauce. Once the sauce has been evenly distributed across the crust, add your mozzarella cheese. (I let my son get involved from this point on.)

Next, use your heart-shaped cookie-cutter on the pepperonis. If you don’t have a cookie-cutter, no worries; fold your pepperonis in half, and just use scissors to make a heart shape! Have your kiddo add the pepperoni hearts to the pizzas, sprinkle some oregano on top, and then place them into the oven for 8-10 minutes (or until the cheese and edges start to brown). Allow it to cool & then enjoy!
