One of my favorite things to do in the summertime is to cool down with an ice-cold drink after enjoying the warm weather. While water is typically my beverage of choice, sometimes creating a yummy fizzy drink makes hydration more fun. Especially for children.
You can substitute any of the ingredients with your favorite flavors or brands. This bubbly goodness is called a Summer Lemonade Refresher, and it's really easy to mix in a pinch.
Ingredients:
1 Orange Poppi Prebiotic Soda Can
2 Cups Black Cherry Sparkling Water
2 Large Lemons, Fresh Juice
1 Cup Frozen Strawberries
4 Cups of Cold Water
Handful Fresh Mint Leaves
Instructions:
Grab an empty pitcher. Cut the lemons in half (or quarters if too big) and squeeze juice into the pitcher. Combine the Poppi Soda and the Black Cherry Sparkling Water. Add the frozen strawberries and fresh cold water. If you need more than 4 cups of water, just fill the liquid up to the top.
Toss in the mint leaves, mix, pour in a clean glass and enjoy! The flavor and color will intensify overnight in the fridge to a richer taste. Drink within 3-5 days for freshness.
Increase the ingredient amounts to make this a perfect party drink for the summer!
