Summer is such a fun time, and I love cooking for my little family on those long, summer evenings. One of our favorites is pizza night! With one, simple pizza dough recipe, we can create a variety of pizzas, topped with each person's preference. Today, I'm sharing my go-to pizza dough recipe plus some of our favorite combinations for delicious pizzas. Which is your favorite?
Pizza Dough
Ingredients:
4.5 cups bread flour
1 tsp instant rise yeast
2 cups cold water
2 TBS avocado oil
Instructions:
Mix the flour and yeast with a stand-up mixer (if you have one), then add the cold water. Mix until dough is smooth and sticky. Place in an oiled dish and drizzle with avocado oil. Cover and let sit for 2 hours until risen. Preheat oven (and a pizza stone) to 425 degrees. Divide the dough into how many pizzas you desire and bake for 13 minutes.
Toppings
Add your desired toppings and bake for another 5-7 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly!
We like to use the Muir Glen canned pizza sauce. We also used a low moisture mozzarella and did a margarita style pizza.
For another pizza we got a rotisserie chicken (make it easy on yourself!) and used Primal Kitchen buffalo sauce for a buffalo chicken pizza.
Lastly, we did a veggie pizza with sausage for a little bit different flair.
We loved all the flavor combinations! Pizza night is definitely a hit! I hope you enjoy it as much as we did!
