I’m completely on board with the pumpkin-spice-everything rage that ushers in the fall season.
There are fall candles strategically placed in several rooms of my home that fill the air with the aroma of spiced apples, cinnamon pumpkin, and marshmallow pumpkin latte. Every sink has a soap dispenser standing sentry filled with fall-scented soap. Even making pancakes this time of year requires an extra healthy dose of cinnamon sprinkled into the mix just to make things feel more like, you know … fall!
I also adore coffee. What I don’t adore is the price of the fall-flavored specialty drinks when I drive through a coffee shop.
So, why not make my own fancy fall coffee drink? Great idea!
Without further ado–let’s make Pumpkin Spice Creamer!
Gather these items:
16 ounces heavy cream
6 TBS canned pumpkin
3 TBS brown sugar
2 tsp vanilla
2 tsp pumpkin spice
Pinch of sea salt
Ready? You’re gonna love how easy this is!
1. Add all ingredients in a glass jar (or any kind of container you want to store your creamer in), adding pumpkin last.
2. Blend until all ingredients are fully mixed, especially the pumpkin, which is heavier and will sink to the bottom.
3. Store in the refrigerator. Creamer will last several days. Just give the jar a shake before use.
See! I told you it was easy and oh, sooooo, delicious!
Pour your pumpkin creamer over your coffee. Top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice.
This creamer is amazing with both hot and cold coffee (even tea!).
I’m an iced coffee gal, so …
I like to use ready-made coffee, but you can make your own and chill it before use. I also like to pour cold coffee into ice cube trays and make coffee cubes to keep my drink from getting watered down.
Enjoy!
NOTE: You will have a lot of pumpkin left over. Store in a container (not in the can!) in the refrigerator for a second batch (‘cause, why not?) or for another recipe.
