My intent for today’s wedding post was to showcase a pretty color-combo theme, but then I ran across these beautiful cupcakes and had to share them.

I love gorgeous cupcakes, but what stood out to me about these were the lace liners. I started thinking about how pretty a lace-themed wedding would be. To research my idea, I turned to the Great Encyclopedia of Online Brilliance: Pinterest. In the subsequent hours that Pinterest hijacked from my schedule, I ran across more beautiful ideas than what I can fit into one post.
There were SO many gorgeous lacey cakes out there. I like how the one above looks like it has real lace wrapped around the top and bottom tiers.
This lace wedding-chair cover was one of my favorite finds. A bride could use these on the last chairs of reserved-seating rows, or she could purchase just one and use it for the guest book attendant’s chair. Etsy had additional varieties of the example above.
Obviously, when it comes to wedding dresses, there are going to be tons of lacey options. I felt compelled to share this trumpet mermaid dress because even though the top is kind of sheer, the dress actually has sleeves (we know how hard those can be to find) – and an altogether unique look. (It was also only $275.)
There are many ways a bride can incorporate lace into her wedding bouquet. What I liked about the one shown above is that the bride used lace from her mother’s wedding dress. A bouquet is always a keepsake, but what it’s made of can give it an extra layer of significance.
I had a hard time finding lace shoes that I loved, but the process of looking was fun! There are tons of options if you dig around. I did finally find these (and yes, I love them!).
If someone’s really going for the lace theme, there are tons of lace invitations out there, as well as lace wedding favors, lace candle wraps, and lace table runners. Some of my favorite options of all of the above were actually lace and burlap, but that’s a whole new theme for a future post.
Happy wedding planning!
